It will be on Sunday, November 23, the day of the official presentation, in the Zibaldone section of the 43rd Torino Film Festival, of Avemmaria, the directorial debut of writer and actor Fortunato Cerlino. The film originates from his autobiographical book Se vuoi vivere felice (Einaudi, 2018).

At the center of the story is the childhood of Felice, a child forced to confront an environment marked by poverty and violence, yet determined to resist by holding onto his dreams. An intense coming-of-age narrative, oscillating between harshness and the desire for redemption.

Leading the cast is Salvatore Esposito, a pivotal presence in the film, joined by Marianna Fontana and young Mario Di Leva (Nottefonda, Resta con me). Alongside them is a group of performers including Carmine Borrino, Franca Abategiovanni, Cecilia Bertozzi, Giulia Coppini, Francesca Colapietro, Armando Manfregola, Gabriele Di Gennaro, and Gennaro Di Colandrea.

Produced by Ventottodieci Produzioni, Moving Milano, Red Private and Europictures, in collaboration with Rai Cinema, Avemmaria will soon be released in theaters, distributed by Europictures.
