On Saturday 31 May Salvatore Esposito received the Nastro speciale, for the twentieth anniversary of the Regione Campania Film Commission.

The award was presented to him in the extraordinary location of Villa Pignatelli in Naples, for the great success of his interpretation of Inspector Vincenzo Palmieri in the TV series Piedone – Uno sbirro a Napoli.

The production was directed by Alessio Maria Federici and written by Peppe Fiore, Giuseppe Pedersoli, Laura Grimaldi, Paolo Piccirillo, Jacopo Sonnino and Salvatore Esposito.

The actor commented on the award: “I am honored to have taken part in a project like Piedone, which followed in the footsteps of Piedone by Carlo Pedersoli (Bud Spencer). So I am very happy for Naples, for the Neapolitans and indeed I hope that this moment of crisis can pass soon so that the many workers and the many professionals, who are unfortunately at home given the situation, can get back to work as soon as possible.”
