Rosanero at Giffoni
“ROSANERO“, the new Sky Original comedy directed by Andrea Porporati, who wrote the story and scripted it with Salvatore Esposito, who stars in it together with little Fabiana Martucci, in her cinematic debut, premiered at Giffoni 2022. is taken from the literary work of Maria Tronca “Rosanero” published by the Baldini + Castoldi publishing house.
Salvatore Esposito, Fabiana Martucci and the director of the film Andrea Porporati walked the blue carpet of the festival and then met the 16+ jury members at the Truffaut room to introduce the screening of the film. Produced by March 11 Film and Vision Distribution, distributed by Vision Distribution, the film will be available soon on Sky and NOW.
“I often tell kids who study acting that our job is beautiful only if we keep alive the child we have inside and that allows us to create and be curious: things that we adults unfortunately forget to do”, says Salvatore Esposito in his interview with Vanity Fair.
“Confronting a criminal who becomes an 11-year-old girl was a risk, but it never scared me because I always try, through the characters and the stories, to leave something in the viewer”. As reported by Ansa, the plot of “Rosanero” tells of Rosetta, a ten-year-old girl who attends the fifth grade. One morning Totò is hit in the chest by a bullet. In that same instant, Rosetta falls from a swing and hits her head. The girl and the boss are operated on, but when they recover from the coma they both have changed. Totò, the Camorra, wakes up in Rosetta’s body, Rosetta in Totò’s.
A kind and dance-loving child remains entangled in the features of a gangster. And a gangster in that of a little girl.
