Film shooting begins in Naples for “Piedone, the Sbirro”, the new Sky Original series, inspired by the famous Bud Spencer films, which stars the actor Salvatore Esposito. The cast will also include Fabio Balsamo, actor and member of the group The Jackal. Set for two days in the historic center of Naples.

Among the chosen locations, there is Piazza Mercato, one of the most beautiful and famous in the city, a few steps from the Basilica del Carmine and the Aragonese towers. The 4-episode TV series is written by Peppe Fiore and directed by Alessio Maria Federici. The plot is still top secret, but, from what has been filtered so far, the series will be set in today’s Naples.

Salvatore Esposito will be Inspector Vincenzo Palmieri, Piedone’s “student” and therefore accustomed to his own unconventional methods, returning to Naples after several years. Set for two days in the historic center of Naples. (Exclusive photos below).
